Travelling In Yogyakarta

Summer is 'that time' to go on vacation aka explore Indonesia for those of us traveler, and the place that right away pops on my mind is: Yogya! I went to Yogya along with 3 of my friends knowing that it's gonna be a tough-and-long journey, so it's wise to go with a companion. Why did we choose to go on vacation to Yogya? Several reasons. One, an incredible nature's beauty that never ceases to amaze. It’s really hard not to list Yogya as the most memorable place you have visited in your lifetime. Two, many historical sites such as the Prambanan temple that have been named the grandest temple in Southeast Asia, Barong temple, and Yogyakarta Palace. Third, Yogya Cuisine. Yogya is famous among tourists as one of the best places when it comes to eatery. Gudeg is one of its signature dishes. One well-known brand is Gudeg Yu Djum. The fourth and most important category is Yogya's hospitality. People of Yogya are reaaally kind, helpful, and welcoming. It's kind of like in their DNA to be that amazing people. Seriously. And the fifth reason why Yogya is the best place to go in Summer is the endless options to go (yes!). Lava Tour Merapi, Bukit Bintang, Malioboro, Landasan Pacu Pantai Depok, etc. etc. you name it. And to put the cherry on top, all of those places are super affordable to the point you ain't go broke if you want to.

What about winter then? Unfortunately, Yogya has no winter. But, fear not, there are still some places to go to enjoy in winter-like season. My recommendations are Ullen Sentalu Kaliurang and Goa Jepang Kaliurang. These places as like the places in Yogya are affordable, safe, and most importantly: memorable!
